Beeghly Library and Digital Humanities

The staff at Juniata College’s Beeghly Library are taking advantage of the technological possibilities to foster an interdisciplinary setting to highlight projects done in conjunction with the wider college community. Our goal is to bring subjects of interest to the liberal arts in an easily accessible and comprehensible digital format.

Fort Shirley  2010 – Present. Project by the Penn State Archeological Field School to find the remains of the original fort.  Directed by Dr. Jonathan A. Burns and involving Juniata students and Alumni.

Trench Life   In 2010 a Senior History student dug and lived in a trench modeled on those experienced in World War I.
